Who We Are
Banners Series
McNeese State University Cultural Series
The Banners Series exists to bring artistically excellent and thought provoking programs in both arts and humanities to the people of Southwest Louisiana. It is headed by Dr. Philip C. Williams, McNeese State University president, and organized through the College of Liberal Arts and the McNeese Foundation.
Each spring, over 25 programs ranging from music to lectures are presented. In addition to the main programs, about 60 outreach programs are brought into the Calcasieu, Cameron and Jeff Davis Parish K-12 schools.
With its varied programming, Banners is designed to appeal to all ages and all demographic groups. Music programs, for example, range from bluegrass to classical. We have programs for families to celebrate the arts together.
